Parlour Group launches its first WSQ Training Education Program to foster lifelong learning
SINGAPORE, Shenton Way — Mar 5, 2022 — Parlour Group Pte Ltd, today announced its offering of Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training courses to the general public and corporate clients as a Government Accredited Training Organisation (ATO).
According to the Department of Statistics Singapore's website, Life expectancy at birth of Singapore Residents has increased by 2 years compared to a decade ago.
Given the current VUCA environment (Volatile, Uncertainty, Complexity & Ambiguity), employees are facing uncertainty like anxiety, mental health effects of isolation, and other health impacts like lack of sleep. In addition, employees need to overcome volatility associated with acquiring new skills based on growing market needs in new areas, replacing uncertainty related to unpredictability with certainty.
Parlour Group’s goal is to promote and support training and continuing education with the spirit of skills upgrading and continuous learning for all Mid-Career professionals and new learners looking to advance their careers in helping their organizations toward Digital Marketing maturity.
“I am excited that our current education and training division is now offering the WSQ Skills Framework standards training course. Learners are able to obtain grants and utilize their SkillsFuture Credits for their newly desired skills. We are happy to be able to share our wealth of experience in building successful brand engagements and being able to offer this through our first WSQ Social Media Marketing Champion training for learners to embrace the world of social selling” says Derrick Seeto, President of Parlour Group.
So what is SkillsFuture? Skillsfuture is a national movement to provide Singaporeans with the opportunities to develop their fullest potential throughout life, regardless of their starting points.
“We strongly advocate and support empowering learners in their skills growth journey. Our training motto is ever more relevant in today’s environment in building learners' skills as the currency for the 21st Century in preparing learners for the Global Skills of tomorrow.
As Albert Einstein puts it “Once you stop learning, you start dying”. So does Einstein mean that Lifelong learning is the formula for living longer?" says Lyndon Teoh, Parlour Group General Manager of Education Training.
In order to stay relevant and optimized with the emerging trends in the industry, training and continuing education equip learners with the required Knowledge and Abilities to obtain the required competency through attendance and assessment to be considered competent.
